Brisbane producer / DJ Young Franco – Joey Da Rin – is no stranger to getting clubs heaving across Australia on a regular basis. After a 2016 spent touring Australia and the UK, off the back of the success of his single ‘Drop the Love’ (and bringing down the house at Australia’s premier NYE festival Lost Paradise), 2017 has seen one triumph tail another for the auspicious Franco. A strong start with the release of his springy house single ‘Miss You’ – that quickly became a bona fide radio hit in Australia – was followed by an Australian headline tour with UV Boi, that included a sold-out show at Sydney’s iconic Metro Theatre.
March not only witnessed Franco delight audiences at wineries across Australia for the sold-out Hot Dub Wine Machine tour, but win a steady legion of new fans in Japan as he played packed club shows in Tokyo, under the wing of French tastemakers Kitsune. Kitsune team up with Falcona to tour Franco across China this May, before Franco returns to Australia to perform at the iconic Splendour in the Grass Festival. If there’s anyone you can rely on bring the boogie and bounce to the club, it’s Young Franco. His smiling stage persona, epic jam selections and fantastic original productions win him fans and friends wherever he goes.
“It’s been a thrill to watch Young Franco go from fresh-faced to seasoned performer… he’s one of the most in-demand producers Australia has got.” – Purple Sneakers
“Franco strung together a killer selection of upbeat tracks that complemented each other flawlessly, demonstrating a natural ability to read and respond to the audience’s energy and showcasing an aptitude at handpicking fresh, relevant material…whatever fresh-faced naivety he illustrates in photographs is simply a clever façade masking a genuine passion for DJing and producing, and an exceptional amount of natural-born talent.” – Scenestr
“Franco stepped on to the stage to roaring cheers, heralding the beginning of what would be a huge headline set… showcasing bouncing track after track, from modern gems, to reinvigorated takes on old school RnB classics. When Franco slipped in swindail‘s remix of his track ”Drop Your Love”, the audience launched into an epic fist-pumping frenzy.” – Best Before.Co
