Known for his funky beats and his wicked charms, 22 year old Brisbane producer Young Franco has an ever-increasing list of accolades under his belt, including a recent National Tour with a sold out hometown show, a UK Tour and capacity crowds at Splendour in the Grass and Lost Paradise.
2015 saw him make a strong statement with his latest single Don’t U Want Me racking up over 250K Soundcloud plays and consistent support from Triple J. Add this to his EP Franco & Friends, jumping sub genres with KLP, Set Mo, Feki and De$ignated, a HWLS endorsed collab with Brisbane pal UV boi, his Triple J Unearthed Spotlight release Close 2 U featuring local songstress JOY and a Motez, Alison Wonderland and Peking Duk approved debut EP Futurefunk, it’s no surprise that Young Franco has proven impossible to ignore.
Already racking up his share of frequent flyer points, Young Franco is no stranger to touring. 2014 saw him tour with fellow beat makers Alison Wonderland and Wave Racer on the sold out Wonderland Warehouse Project, a massive run of solo club dates covering capital and regional cities and a New Years set at Falls Festival. Having followed this up with his unforgettable Splendour set, Lost Paradise and his debut Headline National Tour, which has filled band rooms across the country, Young Franco is now ready to take it up a notch.
His first release for 2016 has arrived in the form of Drop Your Love ft. Dirty Radio. Balancing the sounds of limber, celestial house music with the stylized vocals of Los Angeles three-piece Dirty Radio. Young Franco’s knack for energetic production is ever-present throughout, however his ability to layer and strip back his production shows a consistent development in his expanding sound.
Drop Your Love is backed by a massive run of headline ticketed shows and regional club dates across Australia. The Drop Your Love Tour will hit Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide and a stack of regional dates throughout April/May alongside some very special guests. From there, he will embark to Europe to embrace the French and UK house culture that got him into production, refining his new EP dropping later this year.
